Project Highlight

1.8 Million Scans Annually

Nationaal Archief preserves more than 125 kilometers of records documenting Dutch history.

Through a large-scale archival digitization program, 1.8 million images are captured each year – including photographs, drawings, and maps dating back to the 19th century. By combining engineered workflows with structured metadata enrichment, the project ensures that this national collection remains accessible, searchable, and sustainable for generations to come.
