Transmissive material can vary widely, with each size, color, and thickness requiring a unique approach. Picturae employs specialized workflows for: negatives, in b&w and color; glass negatives; slides; lantern slides; X-ray film; still film strips and cut negatives, 35mm, 4x5s, 8x10s, etc.; additional transparent materials.
Transmissive System
Our standard transmissive system is a variable-resolution apparatus that allows for high throughput and careful handling. The system uses digital camera technology in combination with custom LED lighting units. The system can be fitted with different capturing masks depending on the format of the transmissive material being captured.
