‘World Class Rapid Digitization of Cultural Heritage’

Deltae Web Service

Delt.ae is a free web application which will help you assess image quality based on test- and calibration-targets present in your images. After uploading an image, targets will be automatically identified and analyzed. The color- and spatial accuracy will be reported upon, along with guideline conformity (FADGI, Metamorfoze or Metamorfoze light). Images containing ColorChecker or ColorChecker SG targets will also allow for custom ICC profile generation.

The Tool

The Universal Test Target Reader for Photographic Reproduction is designed to manage the consistency of any chosen quality. The tool can be used to upload a photo from anywhere in the world. By comparing the measured values against a selected quality norm it determines the quality of the image. The tool also recognises the most important test targets and reads out the values objectively. Results can be linked to projects and sets of records, and be exported to xml format.

How it all started

The tool was created by professionals from both Picturae and TU Delft, with contributions from colleagues and expertise from around the globe. It stemmed from a general concern about guaranteeing image quality for digital reproduction.
