Picturae is honored to continue our partnership with the California Academy of Sciences on their monumental project to digitize the Academy’s entire botany collection, comprising approximately 2.3 million specimens. Following the success of our initial venture targeting 1 million herbarium specimens from California and the surrounding floristic province, this initiative, supported by an additional $3.6 million grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, aims to make critical botanical data more accessible to researchers and the public.
