Picturae at IBC2024

Last week, our colleagues Victor Shields (Senior Project Manager) and Sebastiaan Bouten (Head of Sales Biodiversity) represented Picturae at the IBC2024 conference in Madrid, Spain. IBC stands for International Botanical Congress and is an important conference in the botanical world. Students, professors, and botanists have the opportunity to present their significant studies and work over the past years, leading to substantive discussions about the next steps in their research. Critical topics, like the effect of climate change on the botany, were discussed during this 7-day conference.

It was the 20th edition of the IBC conferences, which is held every five to six years. It is an important conference for everyone working in or in close cooperation with the botanical world to maintain contacts, meet old colleagues and new friends, and discuss the newest developments and insights. The next IBC will be held in Cape Town, South Africa in 2029.
